Wine Storage Features Continue to Trend

Greg Woods • March 25, 2024

You don't have to be a wine connoisseur to incorporate a wine feature into your new build or reno.  These days most wine features are actually wine walls and some clients lucky enough to have the room will build walk in wine rooms to accommodate their growing collection.  While practical, the real trend has been in making the wine features artistic in nature using glass panels, rich wood, stone and metals to create a visually appealing feature that adds depth and interest. This small but striking wine room with clear glass walls is perfect for this entertaining basement as it creates visual interest but the see through walls make the wine feature feel modern and non-obtrusive.

We are thrilled to be part of this large scale renovation project in McCormick Ranch. The homes in this sought after neighborhood are all unique and have loads of character. This beautiful ranch is no exception. Working with the long time owners of this home has been an absolute pleasure. After much thoughtful contemplation they decided to maintain the structural shell with a few layout changes, but essentially to remodel a large majority of the home. The yard and location are enviable to say the least. More updates to come...

Great architecture is about more than space planning and curb appeal. It is also about ensuring the home complements and fits into its surroundings. This home respects the lot shape and the natural vegetation ensuring the home owners will feel the securing embrace of nature surrounding their beautiful new home from the moment they move in. Minimizing disturbance of trees and ensuring the natural environment is respected has long been part of excellent architecture. Thank you to this wonderful couple for this great picture and for the opportunity to be part of their home project. It is always exciting to see our designs come to life!
