Exposed natural wood beams and rafters, standing seam metal roof, rusted corrugated metal siding, and reclaimed barnwood combine to create a modern rustic aesthetic. The interiors combine shiplap siding and clean finishes with operable glass panels to allow the guest house to function as a pool house for entertaining. It is truly a gem.
Located on a horse property in Scottsdale, the homeowner wanted to create a modern farmhouse aesthetic in their new guest house. Working closely with the homeowner and pool designer, the guest house was placed in such a way as to create a dynamic interplay between the existing house, pool, and entertaining areas and positioning the covered porch to protect it from western exposure.
